Kayleigh Andews is the designer and founder of Kookiwood; a vintage furniture refinishing studio that specialises in luxury & bespoke design.
Nestled in the Lincolnshire countryside, Kookiwood was founded in 2019 after Kayleigh and her partner moved into their first home and found a need for stylish furniture. After refinishing a few pieces for themselves they fell in love with the process. In November 2020, Kayleigh left her 8 year career in the Royal Air Force to work for Kookiwood full-time.
Widely known for her Art-Deco inspired Cocktail Cabinet designs; Kayleigh is fuelled by her passion for individualistic style and saving quality vintage pieces from landfill. She considers herself a ‘forever student’, eager to both build on her innovative designs and techniques whilst staying ahead of industry trends to create timeless pieces of furniture.
Kayleigh has a creative flare for design and a keen eye for detail which was noticed by none other than Holly Tucker MBE (founder of Not on The High Street) when Kookiwood was nominated for Best Newcomer in the Independent Awards 2020. Out of over 50,000 business’ nominated, Kookiwood made it to the final five.
Her hunger to push design boundaries and determination to source the most premium materials has contributed to her being awarded The Most Innovative Bespoke Luxury Furniture Designer 2021 in the Midlands Enterprise Awards.
Kookiwood is currently accepting commission work and is always interested in a challenge. Reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org to enquire about your very own piece of striking statement furniture!
